Hallsta Lotus showed once again his overpower among other coldblood trotters, and earned his second Nordic Championship win in Turku. Driver Ulf Ohlsson said that their win was never threatened, the horse was simply so good. The Finns got to celebrate the silver medal ofthe ruling trotter king Erikasson, who finished second only one tenth of a second behind Hallsta Lotus. Trainer Bella Varjonen was overwhelmed by the horse’s guts, his sisu.

I'm a Finnish horse enthusiast. This blog is my tribute for the national horse of Finland. I started in 2009. My aim is to provide information about this multipurpose horse breed in English, in all its variety -as a historical and cultural figure, modern sport horse, friend and a companion.
