From Tähtien Talli/Vieteri

Vieteri was a legend of his time. He won the Trotter King’s crown five times in 1973, -74, -76, -77  and -78. The stallion was naturally talented and proved it already in the 4-year-old Derby. Vieteri was also the first finnhorse ever to achieve winnings over 1 000 000mk.

He was great at stud too, leaving for example trotting king -86 Vireeni, four-time queen Valomerkki and double queen (1992-1993) Vipu.

Juhani Matela wrote a book about Vieteri. “Valtias Vieteri” was published in 1979.

A horse can be nominated to Stars’ Stable (Tähtien Talli) for outstandingly good performances in the trotting races. So far 8 warmblooded trotters and 8 finnhorses have been nominated. See them all at Hippos.fi / Tähtien talli
